A human washing machine will be developed in Japan
When we hear the term “washing machine,” we immediately imagine a device for washing clothes or dishes. However, Japan is set to change our perception of this appliance. Soon, a washing machine designed for bathing humans will be introduced. Within 15 minutes, it will bathe and dry the person sitting inside it.
The individual will sit at the center of the machine, which will then fill with warm water and microbubbles commonly used in skincare devices, ensuring thorough cleaning and rejuvenation. The machine is equipped with artificial intelligence: by analyzing the person’s body temperature, heart rate, blood pressure, and other characteristics, it will adjust the water temperature accordingly. It will also display calming visuals during the bath, based on the user’s mood.
The device is still in the demonstration phase, but it is expected to become available for public use by 2025. It has the potential to greatly ease the lives of individuals with disabilities.
