The “NAN” formula deemed dangerous was not imported to Armenia

The Food Safety Inspectorate Body (FSIB) reports that the dangerous batches of “NAN” infant formula recalled in European countries were not present in the Armenian market.

As we reported, the “Nestlé” company has voluntarily recalled certain infant formulas under the “NAN” brand in several European countries in recent days due to suspicion of the Bacillus cereus bacteria.

Following this information, the Food Safety Inspectorate Body initiated inspections of the batches in Armenia. The inspection results revealed that the specific batch potentially contaminated, which is the “NAN 1 OPTIPRO” type, was not imported to Armenia and was not sold here.

The FSIB also reports that the “Nestlé” company itself confirmed that the specified batches were not supplied to Armenia.

The Inspectorate Body assures that the “NAN” infant formulas officially sold in Armenia are safe, comply with legal requirements, and do not pose a danger to children’s health.
