30 percent of Armenia’s population has loans
The Central Bank has presented statistics on borrowers in Armenia. According to it, around 30% of Armenia’s population are borrowers. They were provided with 5.34 trillion drams.
As of September 2024, 862,202 individuals have loans. Of whom 439,275 are women and 422,927 are men. The majority of borrowers, 842,537, have consumer loans, while 69,165 have mortgage loans.
Compared to the previous year, the total amount of loans has increased by approximately 1.5 trillion drams.
