Social Media Platforms Flooded with Drug Advertisements
Social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram have been flooded with drug advertisements. Media experts warn that these ads are fake and generated by artificial intelligence. Advertisements featuring images of well-known doctors, journalists, and other individuals use audio and visual effects, leaving little room for suspicion that a robot is speaking. These ads promote expensive versions of drugs, while cheaper alternatives are available in pharmacies. This was reported by media expert Samvel Martirosyan.
It’s essential to be cautious in such cases. Just because someone appears to be speaking doesn’t mean it’s genuine.
Currently, the ads are in Russian, as artificial intelligence is not yet able to generate Armenian content. However, according to the media expert, this is only a matter of time, and in about 2-3 months, AI is expected to overcome this challenge as well.
