Starting from 2025, employment contracts will be in electronic format

On November 26, a project for creating an electronic platform for employment contracts was approved, according to the plan, starting from July 1, 2025, all employment contracts will be signed and executed through digital systems. Paper-based contracts will no longer be used.

Initially, the transition from paper to electronic contracts will be voluntary, however, beginning January 1, 2026, it will become mandatory. Existing paper-based contracts will also need to be digitized, with a deadline set for January 1, 2027, to complete this process.

With the implementation of this system, it is expected that several issues will be resolved: signed contracts will fully comply with the law, preventing violations, they will be accessible to both employers and employees, and there will be no complications when adding or removing additional terms, the termination of contracts will also be carried out online.

The entire database of contracts will be available to employers through the digital system of the State Revenue Committee (SRC), while citizens will have access to their data through the income declaration system.
