An Armenian has been killed in Syria. This was reported by the local “Gandzasar” publication.
66-year-old Ervand Arslanyan was injured by a sniper’s shot on November 30 while leaving Aleppo. He was taken to Hama Hospital, where he passed away today, December 1.
Islamist armed groups entered the government-controlled city of Aleppo in Syria overnight and captured most of it. The Syrian army confirmed that dozens of its soldiers were killed during the rebel attack. According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, 255 people were killed in the clashes.
Rebels from the “Hayat Tahrir al-Sham” (HTS) group captured most of Aleppo, one of Syria’s largest cities, following a surprise attack this week. Russia claims that Syrian forces, with Russian air support, have killed 300 rebels in the past 24 hours.
