The Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Combine (ZCMC) has paid approximately 300 billion AMD over the past 3 years

On December 19, during a Government session, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that last week, the Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Combine (ZCMC) transferred 33.2 billion AMD in dividends to the state budget. This amount was generated from the state’s shares.

Pashinyan added that this amount does not include the taxes paid by ZCMC. In total, ZCMC paid 83,668,387,000 AMD in taxes during the January-September period of this year.

Over the past 3 years, ZCMC’s tax payments to the state amounted to 143,933,308,000 AMD in 2022, while the taxes paid in 2023 decreased to 70,881,967,000 AMD.

25 percent of ZCMC shares belong to the Republic of Armenia. On September 30, 2021, the Government accepted a donation from ZCMC shareholder, the Russian “Industrial Company” JSC, in the form of 25% of ZCMC shares. The company donated 412,250.75 ordinary shares, each with a nominal value of 20,000 AMD, which it owned in ZCMC’s charter capital. By a Government decision, the management of these shares was entrusted to the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.
