There was a data breach on the online trading platform “Temu”
Security expert Levon Isajanian reported that there was a major leak of customer data from the Chinese trading platform “Temu”. According to preliminary data, the data of 87 million clients leaked into the network. Among them were personal data of RA citizens: user name, e-mail address, phone number, as well as some encrypted data. The expert told the details on his Facebook page. He advised the site users to change their passwords.
According to preliminary data, there was no leakage of payment card data. The first danger is that certain attacks can be made on e-mail.
The second danger is that a person will be easily identifiable by phone and email. There is a risk that you may receive fraudulent messages on WhatsApp or other similar programs.
Cybersecurity specialist Samvel Hayrapetyan also addressed the issue and gave some tips on how to avoid further problems.

If your Email and “Themu” password is the same, then change your Email and put something else.
If you have a bank card linked, temporarily disconnect from the site.
Put some test money on the card and wait, if the money is lost or they try to trade on your behalf, then contact the bank servicing your card, have them freeze it and issue you a new card.
