Fire in one of Yerevan’s Apartment Buildings
On November 5, around 17:00, a fire broke out in one of the apartment buildings on Yeghishe Tadevosyan Street in Yerevan’s Shengavit administrative district. The fire spread to one of the apartments on the 8th floor. A video shows that a citizen was trapped on the balcony of the burning apartment. He attempted to extinguish the fire himself.
A local resident informed Amnews that the children from a children’s center located on the first floor of the building were evacuated for safety reasons. The fire has been extinguished at this moment.
The circumstances and causes of the incident are being clarified.
