Bread Production Facility Suspended in Gyumri Due to Sanitary and Hygienic Violations

The operation of a bread production facility belonging to individual entrepreneur Levon Zakaryan has been suspended in Gyumri. The Food Safety Inspectorate Body (FSIB) reports that the decision was made based on a number of sanitary and hygienic violations recorded by the inspectors of the regional center.

According to the FSIB, the inspection revealed that the production premises did not ensure the separation of flows for raw materials and finished food products, mechanical ventilation systems were absent, and the wooden floor and walls were in poor, sooty condition, which complicated the disinfection of the area.

The inspectors also noted that ceiling damage could lead to particles falling, windows lacked insect-proof nets, some doors did not comply with sanitary requirements, there was no changing room for the staff, and equipment that comes into contact with food was not properly disinfected.

The facility has been given a deadline to eliminate the violations, after which it may submit an application to the supervisory body for the resumption of its operation.
