Activities of “Premium” LLC production facility suspended
Inspectors from the Yerevan center of the Food Safety Inspectorate of the Republic of Armenia (RA) conducted an inspection at the production facility belonging to “Premium” LLC, which produces dairy products, carbonated soft drinks, and tomato juice. Violations of sanitary and hygienic norms established by law were discovered.
Specifically, the production premises did not provide protection against the entry of rodents and insects, and the structure of the buildings did not guarantee proper storage conditions for food raw materials, packaging materials, and finished food products. The production workshop and the packaging hall were located in the same area, which violates regulations.
The restroom door opened directly into the production area, and there were no sinks provided for hand washing. The surfaces of the walls and floors were not made of waterproof, washable, and disinfectable materials; there were irregularities in some sections of the ceiling, openings near the air conditioner, and in some areas, the plaster had fallen off.
The shelves and tables were in poor condition; traces of corrosion were found, and the production workshop equipment, tools, utensils, and containers were not subjected to proper cleaning and disinfection.
By the decision of the head of the Inspectorate, the production activities of the facility have been suspended, and a deadline has been set for the elimination of all discovered violations.
