Armenian Boxers Win 39 Medals at European Championships

The European Boxing Championships for U22 (under 22) and Youth have concluded at the sports complex of the Sports Management Center.

The Armenian national teams achieved high results, winning a total of 39 medals: 7 gold, 17 silver, and 15 bronze.

Armenia’s U22 national team secured second place in the team standings and was awarded a cup, which was received by the team’s head coach, Rudik Mkrtchyan.

In the U22 men’s competition, gold medalists were Manvel Petrosyan (63 kg) and Harutyun Hakobkokhyan (71 kg). Silver medals were won by Tumas Tovmasyan (48 kg), Suren Rubinyan (54 kg), Voskan Voskanyan (60 kg), Ares Hakobyan (67 kg), Marat Mikaelyan (75 kg), and Alik Hovhannisyan (86 kg).

Bronze medalists were Aren Aslamazyan (51 kg), Artur Avetikyan (57 kg), Hamlet Adamyan (80 kg), Davit Simonyan (92 kg), and Ishkhan Hovsepyan (+92 kg).

In the U22 women’s competition, Elida Kocharyan (60 kg) won a gold medal, becoming a three-time European Champion.

Silver medalists were Arevik Doxolyan (52 kg), Anahit Mikaelyan (81 kg), and Ani Muradyan (+81 kg).Bronze medals were won by Lusine Gevorgyan (48 kg), Lusya Avetisyan (54 kg), Julya Lalayan (57 kg), and Sona Harutyunyan (63 kg). Within the framework of the European Boxing Championship for U22, Armenia’s representative Harutyun Hakobkokhyan was awarded the prize for the best athlete of 2025.

In the Youth men’s competition, gold medalists were Vagharshak Keyan (54 kg), Andranik Martirosyan (63.5 kg), Argishti Hakobyan (67 kg), and Samvel Siramargyan (75 kg).

Silver medals were won by Harutyun Martirosyan (48 kg), Vahram Dovlatbekyan (51 kg), Tigran Hovsepyan (57 kg), Raffi Khachatryan (86 kg), and Tigran Khachatryan (92 kg). Bronze medalists were Tigran Makichyan (60 kg), Artyom Stepanyan (71 kg), Albert Harutyunyan (80 kg), and Sargis Andriasyan (92 kg).

In the Youth women’s competition, Heghine Petrosyan (50 kg), Varduhi Asatryan (54 kg), and Elen Papyan (57 kg) became silver medalists, while Angelina Hayrapetyan (52 kg) and Varduhi Aslanyan (70 kg) won bronze medals.

More than 250 boxers from 25 countries participated in the championships.
