Masked Individuals Invaded the Homes of “Imnemnimi” Podcast Authors; Narek Samsonyan Arrested
Early on the morning of November 13, masked individuals broke into the home of Vazgen Saghatelyan, co-author of the “Imnemnimi” podcast. Saghatelyan reported the incident on his social media page around 7:10 a.m., writing that “masked individuals are entering our house right now.”
Attorney Ruben Melikyan reported that law enforcement officers also began a search at the home of the podcast’s other co-author, Narek Samsonyan.
Melikyan later informed that Narek Samsonyan had been arrested and transferred to an investigative body. According to the attorney, the article under which Samsonyan is being charged is related to “hooliganism.”
The attorney also noted that he was near Samsonyan’s home but was not allowed to enter the apartment, thereby impeding his professional activity.
The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia reports that urgent investigative actions are being carried out within the framework of the initiated criminal proceedings.
It should be noted that a few days ago, the co-authors had hosted the third President of the Republic of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, on their show. In the 7-hour interview, he addressed various topics, ranging from the 2018 revolution and his resignation to the reasons for the defeat in the 44-day war. Pashinyan responded to this with 10 statuses (posts) in the morning.
