Car Collides with Train: Driver Dies

The driver of an “Opel” car died as a result of a traffic accident that occurred at the intersection of Sis village. His body was found outside the car by rescuers.

On November 21, at 06:14, the Ararat Regional Crisis Management Center received a report that a car had collided with a train carrying cargo from Gyumri to Yerevan at the end of the village.

Employees of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) who arrived at the scene found that the driver had been removed from the car before the rescuers arrived, but ambulance doctors pronounced him dead.

Rescuers de-energized the car and, for safety reasons, shut off the gas cylinder valve.

It should be recalled that this is not the first case. About 3 weeks ago, on October 30, a freight train and a car collided near the village of Lernapat in the Lori Province. One person died.
