Water Tariff in Armenia Will Not Change in 2026
Water tariffs in Armenia will remain unchanged in 2026. The decision was made at the regular session of the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC).
According to Ashot Ulikhanyan, Head of the PSRC Tariff Department, no significant changes have been recorded in the key indicators, specifically in the volume of water consumption and electricity tariffs: they have not exceeded the 0.5% threshold. For this reason, the Commission decided to keep the water tariff at the same level.
The tariff for one cubic meter of water for vulnerable families will remain at 180 drams, and for other consumers and economic entities, it will be 200.42 drams.
The water supply company “Veolia Jur,” a subsidiary of the French “Veolia,” which manages Armenia’s water supply, has been operating the country’s water supply and sewage systems in Yerevan and throughout Armenia since 2017 within the framework of a 15-year concession agreement.
It should be noted that the water tariff for consumers in Armenia was last changed on January 1, 2022. Instead of the previous 180 drams, 200 drams was set for the next 10 years, while the water tariff for socially vulnerable consumers did not change.
