State Revenue Committee’s (SRC) Discoveries of the Week

The State Revenue Committee (SRC) has published summary data on cases of smuggling and violations of customs regulations recorded at border crossing points over the past week. A number of violations were registered as a result of control operations carried out in different directions.

At the “Agarak” customs checkpoint, during the inspection of trucks and buses, 4,030 packs of undeclared cigarettes and 1,010 liters of undeclared diesel fuel were discovered in 4 instances.

At the “Bagratashen” border checkpoint, 186 kg of flying cameras (drones) and wheel rims were discovered in vehicles. In another inspection at the same checkpoint, an attempt was uncovered to transport 1 ton of undeclared and under-declared clothing.

A gold ingot was found during customs control on a passenger who arrived via the Dubai–Yerevan flight by air.

A violation was also registered at the “Bavra” checkpoint: 250 packs of cigarettes and alcoholic beverages were found during the inspection of a vehicle.
