Criminal prosecution initiated against Gagik Tsarukyan for non-compliance with a court act

Public criminal prosecution has been initiated against Gagik Tsarukyan on the grounds of non-compliance with a judicial act. This was reported by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Armenia (RA).

According to the source, within the framework of criminal proceedings initiated on June 5, 2024, the prosecutor initiated criminal prosecution against Tsarukyan on October 27, 2025, based on the fact that he had violated a ban imposed by the Anti-Corruption Court. Specifically, the court act prohibited Gagik Tsarukyan and his wife from disposing of their 98.03 percent share in the “Gorna Banya Bottling Company” LLC, registered in the Republic of Bulgaria.

Despite the prohibition, the response to the legal assistance received from Bulgaria revealed that on March 15, 2024, Gagik Tsarukyan and his wife sold the aforementioned shares through an authorized person for the value of 23 million 850 thousand Euros. Thus, the property, the disposal of which was prohibited by the court decision, was alienated.

The notice regarding the court decision was handed to Gagik Tsarukyan back on August 24, 2023.

The measure of restraint applied against Gagik Tsarukyan is set as a prohibition on leaving the country.
