46 million AMD in unpaid taxes: SRC disclosures

The State Revenue Committee (SRC) has presented the results of intelligence-gathering operations and tax administration carried out against the taxpayer mentioned by the Prime Minister.

During the Cabinet meeting on December 18, the Prime Minister shared that members of his staff had attempted to make purchases at a store where an employee stated, “The price is different if you pay in cash than if you pay by card.” The Prime Minister had urged the store to be closed until his personal permission is granted.

It was revealed that the “N. S.” company failed to calculate and pay 95.7 million AMD in taxes from shadow turnover.

In addition, the company attempted to smuggle 97 mobile phones with a total value of 6.9 million AMD, which was prevented. The company carried out a portion of its activities under the name of another taxpayer to benefit from favorable tax conditions, resulting in 64.5 million AMD in damages to the state.

During searches, 90 Apple iPhone 16 model mobile phones were discovered; the total amount of unpaid taxes amounted to 46.1 million AMD.

As a result of the measures, it was confirmed that the company continues to under-report its economic activities, and intelligence-gathering operations are ongoing.

Since 2019, 23 thematic audits have been conducted at the company, resulting in fines of 5.8 million AMD, of which 4.2 million AMD were assessed in 2025. Comprehensive audits have also been performed: one has been completed with a fine of 250,000 AMD, and another is currently in progress.
