Bayramov stated that Armenia should eliminate all obstacles to sign a peace treaty

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov announced at the 79th session of the UN General Assembly that Armenia should remove all obstacles to sign a peace treaty.

Based on the progress achieved during the bilateral negotiations, we call for urgent steps to be taken to eliminate the remaining obstacles, emphasizing the importance of showing the necessary political will and responsibility, he added.

Emphasizing the mutual recognition of sovereignty and territorial integrity, Bayramov noted that Azerbaijan has set an agenda for the regulation of relations with Armenia.

During a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Xavier Bethel, Bayramov stated that the primary obstacle to peace is the territorial claims against Azerbaijan under the Constitution of Armenia.
