Discussions regarding the Araks River are disinformation
Nazeli Baghdasaryan, the Prime Minister’s spokesperson, has responded to another instance of disinformation, emphasizing that the publication by Turkish journalist Okay Deprem is overtly false and does not correspond to reality.
It is worth recalling that days ago, information circulated in Azerbaijani media suggesting that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had agreed to provide Turkey with part of the monopoly rights to use the water resources of the Araks River free of charge.
The same publications claimed that within the framework of an alleged agreement intended to deepen relations between the two countries, Turkey would be allowed to construct several reservoirs and hydroelectric power stations on the river, as well as use the resources of the Araks River almost without restriction.
Azerbaijani sources presented these reports as a “concession” by Yerevan, linking it to Armenia’s vulnerable position following the recent Nagorno-Karabakh war.
According to Baghdasaryan, the individual in question has previously stood out for disseminating manipulative materials regarding Armenia that do not correspond to reality.
