Nursery services to launch in kindergartens
During a press conference, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Zhanna Andreasyan announced that starting this year, nursery services will be available in kindergartens for children from 6 months of age.
She emphasized that nursery services for children under 2 years old were launched in the field of preschool education in 2025, a novelty in the state system since the Soviet era.
According to the Minister, kindergartens with early childhood age groups are already operating in Yerevan and will soon operate in Hrazdan, Vanadzor, and Gyumri as well.
Andreasyan also addressed the progress made in the field of inclusive education. According to her, more than 1,700 children with special educational and developmental needs are currently enrolled in preschool institutions, whereas their number was 91 at the start of the program.
