Narek Samsonyan, co-author of “Imnemnimi” program, hospitalized
Narek Samsonyan, co-author of the “Imnemnimi” program, has been transferred from the Armavir penitentiary to a hospital. His lawyer, Ruben Melikyan, announced this via a Facebook post. On the advice of doctors, Samsonyan has ended his hunger strike.
Narek Samsonyan has been on a hunger strike for 14 days. He was also hospitalized on January 18. A medical examination revealed that his heart rate was above normal, leading to an emergency medical call.
It should be noted that on the morning of November 13, masked security forces raided the homes of “Imnemnimi” authors Narek Samsonyan and Vazgen Saghatelyan and detained them. Subsequently, searches were conducted at the “AntiFake” office, and all equipment was seized.
Criminal proceedings were initiated against Narek Samsonyan and Vazgen Saghatelyan for responding to an insult by the President of the RA National Assembly, Alen Simonyan. They are charged under the article “Hooliganism using means of communication.” They were later remanded in custody.
