Tigran Mansurian celebrates 87th birthday
Renowned composer and People’s Artist of Armenia Tigran Mansurian celebrates his 87th birthday today, January 27.
On the occasion of the composer’s birthday, the “Symphonic Mansurian” concert evening will be held on January 28 at the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall. The event is an initiative of the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport and the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra. The National Cinema Center of Armenia is a partner for the concert.
Tigran Mansurian’s works have been performed with great success in London, Paris, Rome, Milan, Vienna, Moscow, Warsaw, New York, Los Angeles, and other international musical centers.
In 2016, Tigran Mansurian was appointed a member of the Public Council of Armenia, and in 2022, an International Composers’ Competition was organized in his name
