Man arrested for producing counterfeit vodka
According to the Police, on January 24, community police officers of Vagharshapat uncovered another case of counterfeit vodka production.
A 64-year-old resident of Ejmiatsin had produced and sold counterfeit alcoholic beverages. Vagharshapat community police officers searched the citizen’s house. During the inspection, 27 bottles of counterfeit vodka and empty bottles were discovered in the basement.
A criminal proceeding has been initiated regarding this fact. The 64-year-old man has been arrested and presented to the preliminary investigation body.
It should be recalled that a few days ago, six boxes of vodka without excise stamps were found in a vehicle stopped for inspection on the Yeghvard highway.
