Hayk Sargsyan, MP of the “Civil Contract” faction, involved in legal proceedings

Hayk Sargsyan, a Member of Parliament from the “Civil Contract” (CP) faction, has received a severe reprimand followed by legal proceedings, reports RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. According to him, this issue has been discussed several times during the sessions of the CP Board.

It should be noted that the CP Board had previously made two decisions: in the first case, Hayk Sargsyan was not included in the pre-election list, and in the second case, his appeal was rejected, and he was again excluded from the list.

Hayk Sargsyan earlier stated that the reason for his non-registration was the tension that arose with certain colleagues within the party, which, according to him, began after his legislative initiative to increase taxes on online casinos and gambling houses. The MP did not specify exactly with whom this tension exists. However, according to our data, his relations are strained with Alen Simonyan. The latter had even initiated disciplinary proceedings against Hayk Sargsyan in April, resulting in a severe reprimand. He also had conflicts with Andranik Kocharyan.
