Pile-up on the Yerevan-Gyumri highway: 8 vehicles collide, one injured
A chain-reaction traffic accident involving eight vehicles occurred on the Yerevan-Gyumri highway, in the section adjacent to the Mastara settlement. One person was injured as a result of the incident.
The alert was received on February 9, at approximately 11:40. Rescuers were dispatched to the scene.
According to preliminary data, the collision involved “VAZ-2107,” “Ford Transit,” “Suzuki,” “Mitsubishi,” “Toyota,” and “Land Rover” passenger cars, along with two “KrAZ” trucks at the 83rd kilometer of the highway.
The injured person was transported to the hospital before the arrival of the rescuers. Safety measures were carried out at the scene, and one of the damaged vehicles was disconnected from its power source.
The circumstances of the incident are being clarified.
