YouTube has announced that its Partner Program (monetization) is now becoming available in Armenia.
The Ministry of High-Tech Industry has welcomed YouTube’s announcement, emphasizing that the expansion of the platform’s engagement will contribute to the strengthening of Armenia’s digital ecosystem.
RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan noted that the launch of monetization can become an incentive for creative work, educational content, and the development of small digital businesses, as well as contribute to increasing the competitiveness of Armenian creators on international platforms.
YouTube monetization allows creators to earn income from advertising, channel memberships, merchandise sales, and financial support.
According to the Ministry’s assessment, this is an important step toward the development of digital entrepreneurship and the creation of new jobs.
To become a partner, a channel must have 500 or more subscribers, 3 confirmed uploads in the last 12 months, or 3 million views for short videos (Shorts) in the last 3 months. To become eligible for ad revenue, it is necessary to have more than 1,000 subscribers, 4,000 watch hours in the last 12 months, or 10 million views for short videos in the last 90 days.
