U.S. Vice President is in Azerbaijan

Following a two-day visit to Armenia, U.S. Vice President JD Vance has arrived in Azerbaijan.

At Baku’s “Heydar Aliyev” International Airport, the Vice President was welcomed by Azerbaijan’s Deputy Prime Minister Samir Sharifov and other officials.

A small-group meeting between President Ilham Aliyev and Vance has commenced in Baku, during which important issues related to bilateral relations and international matters will be discussed. This will be followed by a meeting in an expanded format. A document on strategic partnership has been signed with President Aliyev.

Prior to his departure for Azerbaijan, the Vice President emphasized his conviction that Armenia and Azerbaijan possess the necessary economic independence to ensure that the peace agreement remains in force.
