Support program for persons with bad loans continues
The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs reminds that the application process within the framework of the support program for persons with bad loans is ongoing.
The goal of the program is to support citizens facing long-term financial difficulties and to promote their reintegration into the formal labor market.
As of January 30, 2026, a total of 8,276 individuals have benefited from the program. Among them, the loans of 1,792 beneficiaries have already been fully repaid.
Notably, 26% of the beneficiaries did not have formal employment in the months preceding the measure, which demonstrates the program’s social focus and impact.
To repay the loans of the 1,792 beneficiaries, approximately 390 million AMD formed from the income taxes they paid was allocated. At the same time, as of December 2025 inclusive, a total of 1.3 billion AMD from the income tax generated from the beneficiaries’ salaries was directed as support for loan repayment.
It is reminded that the beneficiaries of the program can be individuals whose total principal amount of all loans as of the day of application is less than 1 million AMD, and these loans have been classified as “bad” (unrecoverable) for at least three years.
