Loaded “Makarov” pistol found in car in Avan
Officers of the Avan Division of the Community Police, acting on operational information, identified and arrested a 34-year-old driver and a 25-year-old passenger of a “Mercedes” vehicle near an address on Azatamartikneri Street around 1:00 AM on the night of February 20, on reasonable suspicion of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and ammunition.
They were transported to the police station along with the vehicle.
As a result of explanatory work, the 34-year-old man presented a loaded “Makarov” type pistol from the car’s compartment.
Relevant documents regarding the incident have been prepared, and the individuals have been presented to the preliminary investigation body. The circumstances are being clarified.
