Armenia joins e-CMR: It will increase the efficiency and safety of freight transportation

Last week, the digital protocol of the “International Carriage of Goods by Road” agreement came into force in Armenia. This establishes a legal basis for entirely paperless road freight transportation. The International Road Transport Union (IRU) press service reported this.

Armenia became the 39th country to join the e-CMR. Transitioning from paper-based to fully digital freight transportation will increase efficiency and safety across Armenia and in neighboring countries.

The e-CMR reduces freight unloading costs, eliminates administrative delays and invoicing issues, and minimizes discrepancies at delivery points. It also improves transparency and security.
