
Explosion in a Car: There is A Casualty
On December 27, at 11:41 AM, the National Crisis Management Center received information about a car explosion at a gas station in the village of Ddmashen, Gegharkunik Province, along the Yerevan-Sevan-Ijevan highway. This was reported by the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to preliminary data, the explosion occurred in a “UAZ” vehicle during refueling. The body of a man was found inside the car.
Two firefighting and rescue units from the regional rescue department were dispatched to the scene. As of August 31, 2024, there have been 34 explosions recorded in Armenia, resulting in 9 fatalities and 39 injuries. Of these, 24 explosions were related to gas leaks. This figure is higher than the statistics for 2023.
