
3 Injured, Including One Armenian and Two Iranians, in a Fire at a Bagratashen Border Crossing Warehouse
As previously reported, a fire broke out on December 3 at approximately 12:40 PM in one of the warehouses at the Bagratashen border crossing. The identities of the 3 injured individuals have been confirmed: two of them are Iranian nationals.
It has been revealed that during construction work at the deep inspection hangar of the RA SRC Bagratashen border crossing, 40-year-old Yerevan resident Koryun O., 44-year-old Kotayk resident Armond A., and 26-year-old Iranian citizen Ghasem H. were present. At around 12:30 PM, while welding metal with a welding device, Armond A. violated fire safety regulations, causing sparks to ignite explosive fireworks stored in the hangar. The resulting explosion and fire caused injuries to Armond A., Ghasem H., and 36-year-old Yerevan resident Vardan A., who was also at the scene.
All the injured individuals were transported to the Noyemberyan Medical Center.
According to the Ministry of Health, two of the injured are in moderate condition, while the third is in satisfactory condition. None of their lives are currently at risk, and they remain under medical supervision.
