Explosion in Armavir city; casualties reported

On November 11, at 16:14, a call was received by the Crisis Management Center of the Armavir Regional Rescue Department informing that an explosion had occurred at one of the gas filling stations operating at the end of Yerevan street in the city of Armavir.

According to preliminary data, the gas cylinder of a “GAZelle” brand truck exploded. As a result of the explosion, 2 people sustained injuries: one was transferred to the “Armavir” Medical Center after receiving prompt first aid, while the other refused to go to the hospital.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) informed Amnews that 2 vehicles were also damaged as a result of the explosion. Currently, the area is cordoned off, and a criminal proceeding has been initiated by the Armavir Regional Investigative Department regarding the incident to determine the circumstances of the case.

One fire and rescue squad from the Armavir Fire and Rescue Detachment of the RA MIA Rescue Service, as well as local forces of the Police Patrol Service, led by battalion and company commanders, have been dispatched to the scene.
