The Ministry of Education has decided to suspend the activities of the Erasmus+ National Office starting from January 1

As of January 1, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Armenia has suspended the operation of the Erasmus+ National Office in Armenia. This was announced by the Erasmus+ office team.

On January 23, the Armenian government approved two draft decisions on organizing procurement processes under the single-source procurement procedure. The first project proposes acquiring the services for the design and coordination of the master plan for the Academic City from GMP International GmbH Architects and Engineers.

The government has approved a draft law introducing amendments to the “Law on Education.” These amendments will establish unified standards in the field of extracurricular education. This was reported by Zhanna Andreasyan, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, during a government session.

During its January 23 session, the Armenian government discussed and approved a regulation to define the list and descriptions of pedagogical and administrative-economic staff positions in extracurricular educational institutions.

On January 22, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, Daniel Danielyan, met with a delegation led by French writer Sylvain Tesson. Under the patronage of Sylvain Tesson and Vincent Montagne, President of the French Publishers Association, 2,700 modern French-language books will be donated to libraries in Armenia.

The 21st Zhautykov International Olympiad took place in Astana, Kazakhstan, from January 13-17. The event hosted 90 teams (about 700 students) from 15 countries. And it covered the subjects of Mathematics, Physics, and Informatics.

During the government session on January 16, Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan presented the results of the election for the position of rector of the Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports.
