New Fraud Schemes on Social Platforms
The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Armenia is warning citizens about new fraud methods spreading on social platforms like Facebook, Telegram, and others.
Advertisements such as “Currency exchange at fantastic rates” or “High exchange rates for exchanging AMD to RUB” are dangerous and can turn people into victims of crime.
By taking advantage of such offers, individuals collaborating in shopping centers deceitfully take citizens’ money and misappropriate it.
The Prosecutor’s Office urges citizens to exchange money exclusively through legal means and licensed companies.
It is essential to avoid similar advertisements on social platforms and not fall victim to fraud.
