Suspects detained in the murder of a 24-year-old man in Abovyan
Two individuals suspected of murdering 24-year-old Sargis Zeynalyan in the city of Abovyan, Kotayk Province, have been detained. The information was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of the Republic of Armenia.
According to the MIA data, the suspects were located and detained. Based on our information, they voluntarily turned themselves in to the police. It was ascertained that the crime was committed by 42-year-old Ashot and 34-year-old Beniamin Sokhrabyants, residents of the city of Abovyan in Kotayk Province. The latter are biological brothers.
It is recalled that the murder took place on November 10 in the center of Abovyan. The victim, Sargis Zeynalyan, was reportedly a relative of Constitutional Court Judge Artak Zeynalyan, according to media reports. It is reported that an incident that occurred months ago between the victim and the suspects during a Wine Festival continued days later, which became the cause of the tragedy.
