Two contract servicemen injured in Vardenis in a non-service related incident
Two contract servicemen sustained injuries in non-service related circumstances in the city of Vardenis, Gegharkunik Province. The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia reports that they exploded on a mine, but the incident was not related to the performance of their official duties. The circumstances of the incident also, according to the Ministry of Defense, were not related to their service.
The Ministry of Defense informed Amnews that the servicemen’s lives are not in danger. They sustained bodily injuries and are currently under the supervision of doctors. The relevant authorities continue the investigation to clarify all circumstances of the incident.
