Fire breaks out in aircraft cabin during Moscow-Yerevan flight

A fire broke out from a passenger’s carry-on luggage today during a FlyOne Armenia flight traveling from Moscow to Yerevan.

According to preliminary data, the cause of the fire was the ignition of a power bank (portable charger) located in a passenger’s bag. According to eyewitnesses, the flight attendants managed to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading.

There are no casualties, and the flight path remained unchanged. The aircraft landed successfully at Yerevan’s Zvartnots International Airport. Relevant investigations regarding the incident are underway.
