One person dies in residential building fire in Sisian
A fire broke out in a residential building in the city of Sisian, resulting in one fatality. The information was reported by the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.
The Crisis Management Center received the alert today at approximately 10:40 AM. One of the residents reported smoke coming from an apartment on the fourth floor of a building on Vorotan Street.
Two fire and rescue squads were dispatched to the scene. It was determined that the fire had originated in the bedroom of the apartment.
The fire was extinguished at 11:00 AM. The bedroom floor (approximately 0.5 square meters), a bed, and an electric heater were burnt. The body of a citizen was discovered in the bedroom.
The circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
