Police uncover two cases of illegal fuel sales in Vagharshapat region
Officers of the Vagharshapat Department of the Community Police, as a result of operational-intelligence measures, received information that a 46-year-old resident of the city of Echmiadzin was engaged in the illegal sale of gasoline.
Community police officers visited the 46-year-old man’s house, where more than 1000 liters of gasoline fuel and equipment intended for sale were found in a clearly visible area.
During an inspection carried out within the framework of the initiated criminal proceedings, a total of 1246 liters of gasoline fuel filled in containers of various capacities was found at the home of the 46-year-old resident of Echmiadzin. The homeowner stated that he had acquired it for the purpose of selling it for profit.
Vagharshapat community police also received operational information on February 9 regarding illegal entrepreneurial activities, according to which a 55-year-old resident of Shahumyan village was engaged in the sale of diesel fuel, gasoline, and motor oil for transport vehicles.
Community police officers who left for Shahumyan found 300 liters of gasoline fuel, 1700 liters of diesel fuel, a total of 100 liters of motor oil in plastic containers, antifreeze liquid, and relevant equipment in a clearly visible area of the 55-year-old man’s residence.
A criminal proceeding was initiated, within the framework of which 1840 liters of diesel fuel, 130 liters of gasoline, 42 liters of car engine coolant, 35 liters of car windshield washer fluid, and 990 liters of car engine oil were found during the inspection at the 55-year-old man’s place of residence.
A preliminary investigation is underway for both cases.
