41-year-old man arrested on suspicion of plotting murder: Illegal weapons and ammunition seized
A 41-year-old resident of Artashat has been arrested on suspicion of preparing to commit murder. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia.
According to the report, on February 27, operative information was received stating that the 41-year-old man was in the village of Dvin in the Ararat province with a Toyota vehicle, carrying an illegal automatic rifle, and along with a group of individuals, was plotting a murder.
As a result of operative-investigative measures, four men aged 54, 41, 34, and 37 were discovered and detained in a building located in the fields of Dvin village on reasonable suspicion of illegal acquisition and possession of weapons and ammunition.
During the search of the Toyota vehicle, an automatic rifle was found in plain sight within the cabin.
The men were brought to the Ararat Provincial Investigation Department. The 41-year-old man has been formally arrested.
