Iran releases casualty and injury figures: military operations continue
As a result of attacks by the US and Israel on Iran, 201 people have been killed and 747 wounded. The figures were released by the Iranian Red Crescent, noting that 24 out of the country’s 31 provinces have come under fire.
Earlier, it was reported that 85 people were killed as a result of the shelling of a girls’ elementary school in the city of Minab.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that a new wave of strikes has been carried out toward Iran. According to the same source, more than 200 aircraft attacked targets within Iranian territory during the day, with approximately 500 objects being targeted.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran reported that strikes were carried out against American military bases in the region as part of its retaliatory actions. Simultaneously, the US Department of Defense stated that there are no casualties among American service members.
In Israel, medical assistance was provided to 89 people following strikes by Iran; according to official data, their injuries are minor.
