A Russian airline’s plane caught fire during landing
A Sukhoi Superjet 100-95LR aircraft belonging to the Russian “Azimuth” company caught fire during landing in Antalya, Turkey. There are no casualties. The airline also operates flights to Armenia.
The fire broke out during the Sochi-Antalya flight, presumably in the engine area. Passengers were evacuated from the plane. It is believed that the fire was caused by strong winds following a rough landing.
The company issued a statement on its page, announcing that passengers will initially be compensated around 100,000 rubles for their losses related to the incident.
