As of January 1, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Armenia has suspended the operation of the Erasmus+ National Office in Armenia. This was announced by the Erasmus+ office team.

On January 23, the Armenian government approved two draft decisions on organizing procurement processes under the single-source procurement procedure. The first project proposes acquiring the services for the design and coordination of the master plan for the Academic City from GMP International GmbH Architects and Engineers.

During its January 23 session, the Armenian government discussed and approved a regulation to define the list and descriptions of pedagogical and administrative-economic staff positions in extracurricular educational institutions.

The 21st Zhautykov International Olympiad took place in Astana, Kazakhstan, from January 13-17. The event hosted 90 teams (about 700 students) from 15 countries. And it covered the subjects of Mathematics, Physics, and Informatics.
