
New footage from the film “Vazgen: The Last Sparapet” has surfaced online
Filming for the movie “Vazgen: The Last Sparapet” was completed in November. Based entirely on real events, the film tells the story of Armenia’s first Minister of Defense, Vazgen Sargsyan, from his childhood to his assassination.
Vazgen Sargsyan is portrayed in the film by Armenia’s Honored Artist, Khoren Levonyan. Before the final decision on the casting, there were suggestions that Vazgen’s brother, Armen Sargsyan, should play the role. However, Armen opposed the idea, stating, “Khorik will portray Vazgen’s character more accurately and professionally.”

Footage from the feature film has surfaced online, revealing scenes featuring Levonyan’s portrayal of the character. The film’s premiere is scheduled for 2025.
