The expenses of the Prime Minister’s Office will decrease by 632 million drams

The expenses of the Prime Minister’s and President’s Offices, as well as the National Assembly, will be reduced. During the preliminary discussion of the 2025 State Budget at a joint session of the National Assembly’s standing committees, Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan presented the planned expenditures.

The 2025 state budget allocates 24 billion 365 million drams for the Prime Minister’s Office, which is 632 million drams less than the 2024 budget. Current expenses will amount to 20 billion drams, while capital expenses will be 4 billion 180 million drams—6% higher than the previous year.

The budget for the President’s Office is set at 1 billion 658 million drams, 112 million drams less than the previous year. Current expenses are 1 billion 617 million drams, with capital expenses 51% lower than last year.

For the National Assembly, the budget will allocate 7 billion 72 million drams, 191 million drams less than the previous year. Current expenses will be 6 billion 815 million drams, and capital expenses will be 257 million drams.

Additional budget allocations include:

Constitutional Court: 870 million drams, an increase of 26 million drams from the previous year.

Supreme Council and Courts: 17.3 billion drams, 1.8 billion drams less than the previous year.

Ministry of Justice: 23.8 billion drams, an increase of 624 million drams from the previous year.

Prosecutor’s Office: 9.9 billion drams, 127 million drams less than the previous year.

State Oversight Service: 934 million drams, 22 million drams less than the previous year.

Investigative Committee: 18.9 billion drams, an increase of 1.5 billion drams from the previous year.

Anti-Corruption Committee: 3.4 billion drams, 53 million drams less than the previous year.

Corruption Prevention Commission: 405 million drams, 2.3 million drams less than the previous year.

Central Electoral Commission: 492 million drams.
