Inflation in Armenia amounted to 3.3% in 2025

In 2025, the 12-month inflation in Armenia’s consumer market amounted to 3.3% compared to the same period in 2024. The data was presented by the Statistical Committee.

During the months of January-December, prices for food and alcoholic beverages increased by 4.3% compared to the same period of the previous year. Specifically, the price of poultry rose by 4.3%, beef by 11.7%, pork by 12.7%, and lamb by 14.1%. The price of bread increased by 3.6%, pasta by 7.9%, and buckwheat by 9.4%.

In December 2025, compared to December of the previous year, the prices of butter and margarine increased by 7.2% and 7.4% respectively, while sunflower oil rose by 8.2%. The price of eggs increased by 7.2%, coffee by 9.5%, and cocoa recorded the largest growth at 31.9%.

At the same time, a deflation of 7.5% was recorded in the vegetable market, while fruit prices increased by 0.7%.

Prices for non-food products increased by 0.9% on an annual basis in December. During that period, petrol (gasoline) prices decreased by 2.2%, and diesel fuel prices fell by 4.1%.

In the market for liquefied hydrocarbons—butane and propane—an 8.6% annual decrease in prices was recorded in December; however, an inflation of 19.2% was registered compared to November. In December, the average price of liquefied hydrocarbons was 193.6 AMD.

In December, the average calculated exchange rate of the Armenian Dram against the US Dollar was 381.5 AMD, compared to 396.5 AMD in December of the previous year.
