Agricultural insurance program for farmers to resume

Starting February 15, 2026, the agricultural insurance program will resume. This was announced by the Minister of Economy, Gevorg Papoyan.

Insurance companies will travel to the regions to sign contracts with farmers on-site, allowing agriculturalists to be protected against hail, spring frosts, and drought.

The following crops will be eligible for insurance: apricot, grape, apple, peach, plum, melon, watermelon, potato, sour cherry, sweet cherry, wheat, barley, and oats.

The government will pay 40% of the insurance premium on behalf of farmers for apricots, wheat, barley, and oats, and 60% for the remaining crops.

The insurance companies participating in the program are Liga Insurance, Sil Insurance, Nairi Insurance, Rego Insurance, Armenia Insurance, and EFES Insurance.
