
Mher Grigoryan will participate in the Armenia-Russia Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation meeting in Moscow
A delegation led by Armenia’s Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan has been dispatched to Moscow. There, the 23rd session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Armenia and Russia will take place.
The delegation includes Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mnatsakan Safaryan, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports Artur Martirosyan, Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Armen Simonyan, Deputy Minister of Economy Narek Hovakimyan, and Deputy Head of the State Revenue Committee Ashot Muradyan.
Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Vache Terteryan and Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Dmitry Volvach have discussed several cooperation issues before the session. Vache Terteryan emphasized the need to further activate and expand interregional communication and noted that during the session on December 19-20, interregional cooperation would become one of the key topics of discussion.
The previous session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the two countries had been held in Yerevan. Based on the outcomes of the session, the co-chairs of the commission signed a protocol and the “Program of Measures for Economic Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Russian Federation for 2023-2025.”
During the previous session, a framework agreement on the implementation of measures to extend the operational lifespan of the second energy block of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant was also signed, as well as the work plan for the Armenian-Russian Business Council for 2024.
